Cupping Therapy

 

Cupping is a therapy to stimulate the flow of blood and life force energy. Round shaped cups are placed on the skin's surface and a vacuum is created inside the cup using a suction tool. It is commonly used for muscle tension, sore muscles, pain in the neck & shoulder, legs, back and common cold. It will cause slight redness on the site that cups were applied, but this will disappear within a few days.

 

 

Moxa Therapy

 

Moxa is an herb called mugwort. In Japanese style, tiny moxa balls are frequently used to treat or prevent illness. The purpose of moxa usage is to:

 

• Warm life force energy pathway to expel illness

• Stimulate the smooth flow of life force energy

• Strengthen the health and body

 

Recent studies indicate Moxa may increase the white blood cell count and strengthen the immune system.

 

 

Gua Sha

 

Gua Sha is a healing technique to remove muscle tightness, tension, pain or aching like cupping. In this therapy, smooth surface edged instruments are used to scrape or scratch the skin. It is used to move a blockage of the blood flow or life force energy. It will cause slight redness on the site Gua Sha was applied, but this will disappear within a few days.
